Fast vote allocation

Offer your voters an accelerated, convenient way to cast their votes

  • Allocate votes at the push of a button or select all
  • Simplify the casting of votes for long ballots with many candidates
  • Avoid aborted votes

With the feature “Quick vote distribution” you offer your voters an accelerated voting process. All available votes or all candidates can be distributed or selected at the push of a button in the voting system. You can configure the type of distribution in advance according to your election rules in your election project.

Note: This feature is only available for POLYAS online voting.

Booking and setup: quick vote distribution

Add the feature to your election project in the features section and navigate to “Ballot”/ “Rules”/ “Properties”. Activate the option “Quick vote distribution”. You will then be offered specific setting options, which we will explain below.

Please note: This function is only displayed if you have selected the ballot paper type “Other election form” under “Rules”/“Votes”.

Now decide how you want to allocate votes:

  • descending,
  • evenly
  • or all.

Select candidates in descending order

In this case, the votes are distributed to the candidates on the list in such a way that each candidate receives as many votes as possible until all votes have been allocated.

Select candidates equally

In this case, the votes are distributed to the candidates on the list in such a way that each candidate receives one vote, then each candidate receives another vote until all votes have been allocated.

Select all candidates

If you choose this option, all candidates on the ballot paper are selected when you click on the button in the voting system. Your voters can then deselect individual candidates if necessary.

This option is particularly recommended for long ballot papers with many candidates and votes to be allocated.

Additional option “Skip candidates that have already been ticked”

If you check this box, the system will skip any candidates that have already been manually ticked when distributing the votes at the push of a button and will move on to the next one.
